Welcome to the Center for Brain Science Neuroimaging Facility 

Our state-of-the-art facility in the Northwest Building features a 3-Tesla Siemens Tim Trio MRI system which is used for high resolution MRI studies of brain structure and function and high throughput studies of individual differences. We have also recently added laboratories for Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) and Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). We welcome investigators and students from throughout the Harvard community.

CBS MR Physicist Ross Mair has partnered with Organismic and Evolutionary Biology post-doctoral fellow Alexander Ziegler to create 3D models of cephalopod specimens from the Museum of Comparative Zoology collection using MRI. These images are on display in the Harvard Museum of Natural History's new Mollusk Exhibition and can be seen in the video below.
